EMERGENCY RELIEF PROGRAM

Provides assistance for

  • Medical needs

  • Disasters and fires

  • Funerals

  • Supplemental family expenses related to the needs of the applicant(s).

To qualify, the applicant needs to:

  • Be 21 years old or under.

  • U.S. citizen or legal resident.

  • Have an Illinois Master Mason relative in good standing, who is living or deceased.

  • Needs are not covered by insurance or other financial/service resources.

How to Apply:

A parent or legal guardian must complete an application for the child or children. Applicants 18 or older may complete the application themselves.

  • Complete a paper or online application.

  • Sign the Compliance Agreement and Release of Information Sections.

  • The child/young adult applicant(s) must have the identified need detailed in the application.

  • Send completed application by mail or fax to: (217) 529-0242 or IMCAP, 2866 Via Verde, Springfield, IL 62703.

What to Expect After Applying:

  • Your application will be reviewed by the IMCAP Director (Director).

  • A phone conference to learn more about the child or young adults needs will be scheduled with and IMCAP staff member.

  • The IMCAP staff member may provide referrals to relevant services related to needs.

  • The IMCAP Director will prepare a Request Report based on information from the application and conference calls

  • The Request Report will not contain the names of the applicants, parents/guardians or Illinois Master Mason relative.

  • The Director will present the Request Report to the Board of Managers to determine assistance plan during the monthly Board meeting.

  • If your requests needs immediate attention, the Director will present the Request Report to the Board Chairman.

  • The decision about providing assistance will be communicate via phone or email.


Lodge’s Role in the Application Process:

  • Educate members and member’s family about the Emergency Relief service.

  • Make referrals to the IMCAP Director for children or young adults who could benefit from the service.
